Memorial rights are granted for the display of a memorial stone on the grave. Rights last for a period of 25 years after which they are renewable. The renewal of memorial rights in the future will provide an important contribution to the upkeep of the burial ground after income from the sale of rights of burial has ceased.
Please contact us before you order or place a memorial - there are restrictions on what can be placed on the graves ranging from nothing at all, to small naturally shaped stones of local origin. In order for us to control this, please go to the forms and prices page and download a memorial application form and send it to us before any memorial is placed.
The open meadow areas at Delliefure will remain as an open grassland environment, the way you see them now. In these areas no more stones will be permitted. However, we plan to provide a group memorial panel to commemorate the names and dates of those buried there.
Small, locally sourced river or field memorial stones are permitted on graves in the woodland areas. Please send a photograph with dimensions and full information about type of stone you wish to place before proceeding. If you are in any doubt about the suitability of your chosen stone then please consult our custodian before you have the stone engraved and most definitely before anything is placed on the grave.
Letter cutting can be undertaken by a local stonemason/memorial mason.
